Fred Bowers, Belfast resident for seven years, is a Ph.D. soil scientist. In his 27-year career at New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, he was a research scientist in charge of stormwater and groundwater programs.

Fred will explain how to design rain gardens and other green options for controlling stormwater with consideration of natural soil and geologic processes.
