Tour the trees of Grove Cemetery

Appreciating Belfast’s trees doesn’t have to pause when the leaves fall. Join tree professionals Elissa Stone, a certified environmental manager, and ISA-certified arborist Carol Herwig for a fall tour of the rich collection of trees at Grove Cemetery in Belfast. 

We will show you how to identify a tree, not just by the color of its fall leaves, but also by its bark, branching and buds. You’ll also get a sneak preview of next spring’s flowers and leaves.

Where:  Meet at the Grove Cemetery Chapel on Main Street in Belfast
Parking:  Drive into entrance near the Chapel and continue to the back where there is a parking lot next to the Maintenance building
Wear:  Sturdy shoes and warm clothes—be prepared for chill and damp
